Estava Rain American Akitas was founded by Friedrich Birkmar, Swedish born but living in Norway since 1998.  The kennel is dedicated to the American Akita, breeding and showing the best quality dogs. We strive for excellence by selecting only the very best dogs which have proven their quality by producing several generations of successful, sound and healthy dogs.

Estava Rain has produced International BIS winners in over 10 countries, champions in the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Asia and South America. In 2011, Estava Rain Front Row became Nr. 2 All Breeds in Norway becoming the all time top winning bitch in the Nordics. With it´s show team the kennel has managed to win the group at the World Dog Show, BOS at Westminster, BOB with CC at Crufts, a major at the Akita Club of America National Specialty and several European and World Winner titles. Estava Rain became Nr.4 all breeds breeder in Sweden in 2013 and made up the all time top winning male and female in the Nordics! Another record was taken when «Trenton» Estava Rain Take It To The Limit won BOB/BISS at the Akita Club of America pre-National 2018. When «Stirling» Estava Rain Royal Touch won BIS at the Norwegian Kennel Club show in Bø, he then became our 4th generation of BIS winning dogs at a Norwegian Kennel Club organized show!!

The kennel is located at Villa Elvebredden outside Oslo in Norway. This serene spot with its excellent facilities provides a nurturing and healthy environment for our dogs.
